Japan's Greatest Samurai of all times Miyamoto Musashi - Educating myself a bit on

I have trained in the way of strategy since my youth, and at the age of thirteen I fought a duel for the first time. My opponent was called Arima Kihei, a sword adept of the Shinto ryū, and I defeated him. At the age of sixteen I defeated a powerful adept by the name of Akiyama, who came from Tajima Province. At the age of twenty-one I went up to Kyōtō and fought duels with several adepts of the sword from famous schools, but I never lost. / Miyamoto Musashi

Watched a great documentary about Miyamato tonight really worth checking out. :)

Mark Dacascos travels to Japan to trace the footsteps of the ultimate samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi.

I love giant snails and Lensman Power of The Lens (1987)

Great anime film, nostalgia! It has giant snails <3 giant snails. Alot of the best cartoons i remember from my childhood from the 80s i remember had giant snails. Lensman has a short but creepy snail scene you should not miss!

Found two versions, secret of the lens is the one i saw as a kid,

Versus Final Fight Scene (HD) my favorite sword fight scene in any movie.

Still one of the best sword fights in any movie, maybe not the best choreographed or that very expensive looking. This is a low-budget film. But i just love how this scene is acted staged and the style editing and shot composition. The whole film is just amazing to watch and very entertaining. :)

Ryûhei Kitamuras Versus.

Here are a couple more awesome scenes i found.

EVIL DEAD remake trailer leaked

Evil Dead is now one of the best-selling independent horror films ever being reprinted in new blurays dvds etc it is not a obscure independent film anymore.  It is a big mainstream franchise film "like a star wars for horror films" and of course being remade like every other film nowadays. A remake might not always be a bad thing though if it is a good remake and they improve on the film by making something more realistic or something might not stand the test of time. And a good story is always worth being retold. "Although as any Evil Dead fan knows Sam Raimi had the ambition to make Evil Dead timeless, especially when talking about Ash shoes"

And now a trailer has leaked.

2 good things about the trailer though, it is gory and they say: fuck! But that does not make a good film, right now it looks like the texas chainsaw massacre commercial musicvideo style horror. Just alot of splatter, fast paced editing and gore no mood. Some bearded actor reading the necronomicon, supposed to be replacement for Ash?

Here is a link to the trailer: http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=2jilqa&s=6

I love Evil Dead my favorite film as a kid. The original is great but the make up was always a bit corny, in Hi-def Cheryl looks like she got Kindereggs for eyeballs. The effects look good in the trailer and the script better be awesome. What i love about the original also, that homemade feeling the gritty sense of doom. The original obviously inspired by texas chainsaw massacre, the remake of evil dead hopefully not inspired by the texas chainsaw remake. The original will always be one of the greatest films and never be forgotten, this new version might just gain more new fans to the series.

Evil dead remake is shaping up.. Screenshot looks cool, might be a good film.

Evil Dead. Is that Cheryl? Looks creepy.. say what you will but i think Evil Dead can be a good remake. Evil Dead along with Dawn of the Dead my two favorite movies of teens are soon both of them remade and yes absolutely believe Evil Dead can be a good film and better remake than Dawn considering Raimi involved.

Although it probably will not be as much WFT am i watching and video nasty  feeling in the new one. :)

Felix Baumgartner lands after flying faster than the speed of sound

Amazing and exciting to follow.

Let me tell you - when I was standing there on top of the world, you become so humble. You don't think about breaking records anymore, you don't think about gaining scientific data - the only thing that you want is to come back alive. Felix Baumgartner

Do you think there aren't enough monster movies being made? Do you think the monster movies of today should be more like they were in the 80's? Read on my friend!

Hermit: Monster Killer! is a film being made by a bunch of passionate independent filmmakers, writers and actors. There is no big studio involved so the movie script will not be compromised just so it will have a broader appeal or to make money. We wan't to make an entertaining old school monster movie with a twist. Please help us make this a reality, either by giving us tips on how to reach out to more people or by going directly to our indiegogo page and donating.
A more in depth description of the project can also be seen at the indiegogo page.

You should read NinjaDixons blog post about it.http://ninjadixon.blogspot.se/2012/08/upcoming-project-hermit-monster-killer.html?spref=fb

Pre-production is underway, casting, designing monster and prepare special effects... yeah, monster! This is basically a story about one old man trying to stop one angry, bloodthirsty monster from ruining his forest (and house, and dog, and...) and those affected by the monster rampage! It's a mix between Tremors, Alien, Shaun of the Dead and... Moby Dick, with a big chunk of humor and slapstick between all the flying body parts and gore!

Before he was rich he was fucking crazy

I rememeber once when he was my greatest inspiration, would never have even began making films if it weren't for his incredibly ambitious well made independent horror comedies.
